This week's episode of Smackdown Live saw a controversial moment during a rap battle between New Day and The Usos where Xavier Woods' sex tape with Paige was referenced.
The line was subsequently edited out of the WWE Youtube clip, fueling speculation that WWE was unhappy about the line. On his latest episode of Dinner With The King, Lawler said that he isn't all too sure that Vince McMahon would be opposed to controversial comments like we heard on Tuesday night.
"You say Vince wouldn't been pleased, but I'm sure that's not what would have been something that they told him to say or been scripted. Once again, that was one of the things that Vince used to always say: 'It's live TV; nothing can go wrong.' Because of that, anything can happen on live TV," said Lawler.
It's worth noting that the line stayed in the Hulu version of Smackdown.
