Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Ventura said he's close to a new deal with WWE.

"My relationship with them now is much improved. We are on the verge, right now, contracts have been written, contracts have been agreed upon. All it requires is two signatures. One from them and one from me, and I will be back with the legends," he said.

Asked when it could be done, Ventura replied, "Fairly quickly. Time is money."

Ventura is a WWE Hall of Famer who worked alongside Vince McMahon as an announcer and challenged Vince and WWE over royalties in the late 1980s.

Ventura went on to have a successful career in politics and acting but returned to WWE in 1999 and has made sporadic appearances over the last 25 years.
