Jim Ross Calls Royal Rumble 'One Of The Best Booked WWE Events'

Jim Ross says WWE Royal Rumble has been booked well.

In San Antonio Texas, WWE will be hosting their pay-per-view event WWE Royal Rumble on Sunday. Ross blogged about the event on Saturday. He wrote about the creative opportunities available to WWE. Then on Monday before Raw aired,  Ross blogged about how well he thought WWE was presenting the pay-per-view.

"This Rumble event is one of the best booked WWE events in a good while in my opinion. There should be some outstanding developments occurring Sunday night to continue to build and forward the planned, Wrestlemania storylines. There are really no reasons why this event Sunday should  not be a strong night of pro wrestling entertainment. Hopefully the talents will be of a an 'I'm stealing the show' mindset," wrote Ross.

Ross considered Monday's episode of Raw as an opportunity to get eyes on the Royal Rumble match. He would also make a suggestion for the Raw go-home show. He wrote Goldberg and Brock Lesnar should not touch but he wondered how their storyline would affect the Royal Rumble match. On Monday, Raw ended with Lesnar, Goldberg and The Undertaker standing in the ring without touching. All three men are entered into the Royal Rumble match.

Ross also discussed his disdain for "50/50" booking, Bellator 170, and the NFL Playoffs. Ross mentioned he will be hosting Raw General Manager Mick Foley on his podcast this week.
