Jim Ross says he's no longer in the business of getting physical in wrestling.
Despite being a beloved commentator for the vast majority of his time in the wrestling business, Jim Ross has been involved in a number of physical segments. Stars such as Triple H, Rikishi, Linda McMahon, Kane, and Mankind have all attacked Ross in segments in the past.
Throughout his entire run in All Elite Wrestling, Ross has yet to be involved in a physical angle for a storyline. On the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross said that he's no longer interested in being involved in physical angles and encouraged stars to pick on Kevin Kelly or Nigel McGuinness instead.
“I’ve been lucky to avoid any ball shots. Tony Khan, I don’t know if he just doesn’t believe in it or what, we’ve never discussed it because I’m not interested in getting involved in physicality in angles again. I’m past that. I’m not past that egocentrically, I’m past that age wise and all that stuff. I’ve done my time. If you want to kick someone in the balls, go with Kevin Kelley or Nigel.”
Elsewhere in the podcast, Ross said that he prefers the quarterly pay-per-view schedule that AEW used to have. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
