Jim Ross likes The Briscoes' game.
Jim Ross has called many of the great tag team matches in wrestling history. From The Midnight Express vs The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express to the legendary TLC matches with The Hardy Boyz, Edge and Christian, and The Dudley Boyz, Jim Ross understands tag team wrestling and was the voice presiding over some of its best moments.
As the lead play-by-play announcer in All Elite Wrestling, Jim Ross is once again calling matches for a promotion with a deeply talented tag team roster. However, there is one tag team that Jim Ross has not yet called a match for, Mark and Jay Briscoe. Recently, FTR faced The Briscoes for the first time ever at ROH Supercard of Honor 2022. On the most recent episode of his podcast, Grillin’ JR, Jim spoke about that match and stated that he hopes he gets to call the eventual rematch.
“FTR has roughly elevated themselves to arguably the best tag team in the world,” said Jim. “The match they had recently with The Young Bucks was nothing but stimulating. I thought it was just terrific. The match they had with The Briscoes, I'd like to see that match returned, because I'd like to call it. I like The Briscoes’ game, there are really good.”
