Jinder Mahal Wants To Regain Respect And Championship Gold After 1/8 WWE Raw

Jinder Mahal vows to win the gold.

Jinder Mahal has been in the spotlight in 2024. He was interrupted by The Rock in a buzzworthy segment on the "Day One" edition of WWE Raw on January 1. The following week, the former WWE Champion confronted World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Mahal got Rollins' attention, and in doing so, he landed a title shot on the January 15 episode of WWE Raw.

Speaking on Raw Talk, Mahal was asked whether getting a title match was his objective all along.

“It’s my objective to regain respect. It’s my objective to no longer be overlooked. Overlooked by the WWE Universe, overlooked by the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. Let me remind you, as I reminded the WWE Universe, I am a former WWE Champion, the greatest WWE Champion of all time. While Seth Rollins dreams of headlining WrestleMania, but the reality is, I will regain championship gold. This year’s WrestleMania will be mine. With the World Heavyweight Championship, I will be the one with a platform. I will continue to expose, I will continue to enlighten, I will continue to speak the truth," Mahal said.
