TNA Champion Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance in the men's WWE Royal Rumble.
Hendry entered the Rumble at number 15.
This was his first appearance in the Royal Rumble and on the main roster. He has made multiple appearances on NXT television in 2024, including challenging for the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy 2024.

WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership in January. Hendry defeated Nic Nemeth to win the TNA Championship at TNA Genesis.
