Janela is coming back to the squared circle.
"The Bad Boy" and former WWN Champion Joey Janela released a promo video on his social media pages and the Game Changer Wrestling platforms to promote his return to in-ring competition at his Spring Break 3 show[s] during WrestleMania 35 weekend. I reached out to Joey Janela to get clarification and he confirmed that he is indeed returning to in-ring competition at Spring Break.
In the promotional video, Janela plays off the idea that the independent scene is dying and there are posters on the wall of some of the talents who've shaped the independent wrestling scene over the past decade that have signed exclusively with companies.
Joey Janela has not wrestled since September of 2018 when he took on Psicosis at GCW's 'Live Fast Die Young' event. Janela landed awkwardly on his leg after jumping from the top rope and he revealed the following about his injuries:
PCL and MCL tear. On top of that, he sprained his FCL and ACL, has an impaction fracture in his knee, has a mild bone contusion, a small knee infusion and a partial tear of his patellofemoral ligament
While he has been out of action, Janela has hosted L.A. Confidential which took place this past November and he and "The Bad Girl" Penelope Ford signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Janela has split his Spring Break 3 show into two parts because of the first show instantly selling out and recently announced for Spring Break 3 was Jeff "nWo Sting" Farmer.
