Joey Janela Says He'll Be A Booker When His In Ring Career Is Over

Joey Janela already has his goal mapped out for life after wrestling.

Janela is one of the most established names on the independent scene for his in-ring work, and he does work behind the scenes to boost his profile even further. Janela is involved in Game Changer Wrestling, helping to establish them as the top independent company.

While Janela isn't the booker for GCW, he does put together his annual Spring Break show during WrestleMania weekend, which has become the top independent show of the year.

Speaking on Keepin It 100, Janela said that he plans to book shows once his in-ring career is over.

"People thought I was the booker and stuff. I'm not. I'm just a wrestler. Absolutely," he said when asked about having a future as a booker. "When it's all said and done, that's where I'm going to end up, putting together matches or booking shows."

Janela has helped out various up and coming talent and legends returning to the ring over the years, including Paul London, who praised Janela after their match in AIW.

Elsewhere during the interview, Janela commented on AEW having too many wrestlers and the pay scale in the company. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
