John Cena and SpongeBob SquarePants have more in common than it seems.
Cena recently collaborated with SpongeBob SquarePants as he appeared in a Brawl Stars commercial, in which he accidentally threw his phone into the ocean.
Speaking with Grant Griffin for Sports Illustrated, John Cena commented on the collaboration.
“On the surface, it does seem random, but there is definitely a connection with all three prongs of the trident. I think between SpongeBob and myself, who provide the meme universe with full ammunition clips any day, all day. So the fact that SpongeBob’s talked about on social media about every four seconds and he’s responsible for his fair share amount of memes, I think I’m right up there with him," Cena said.
Griffin also detailed how characters like SpongeBob and Patrick and available in Brawl Stars, which can be played for free on iOS or Android from September 5 to October 2.
