John Cena comments on SmackDown on Fox premiere.
WWE is bringing back many top stars for Friday's SmackDown on Fox premiere. The Rock, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Sting, Goldberg, and more are to set help WWE usher in a new era on Fox. But one star noticeably absent from the list is John Cena, undoubtedly the biggest name in the company over the last 15 years.
Ahead of the premiere, Cena took to social media to wish WWE luck, saying he would be watching from afar.
Good luck to my @WWE family for the 1st episode of #SmackDown on @FOXTV. I’ve learned a lot about family here at #Fast9 and while I’ll be enjoying from afar, I’m glad #FastAndFurious family icon @TheRock gets to FINALLY return home to electrify!

Cena last appeared on WWE television at Raw Reunion on July 22, engaging in a rap battle with The Usos. He appeared on SmackDown in January, doing an in-ring segment with Becky Lynch before teaming with The Man to defeat Andrade & Zelina Vega.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. ET tonight, Oct. 4.
