Johnny Gargano Glad To Make People Wait For Match With Tommaso Ciampa

Johnny Gargano says everything happens for a reason.

At NXT Takeover: New Orleans on April 7th, Johnny Gargano will get his hands on the guy who has attacked him on two occasions. Last year at NXT Takeover: Chicago, Tommaso Ciampa attacked Gargano after they lost a tag team championship match. Ciampa was injured during the match and had to be away from NXT for months until he attacked Gargano again at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia. Gargano told Between the Ropes that he was willing to wait for his match with Ciampa.

"I've always been under the essence of we're gonna make the best out of any situation. I always think everything happens for a reason no matter what happens in life, I think things are going to work out. Everything happens like it's supposed to, so I take it one day at a time," said Gargano.

In fact, Gargano thinks it speaks to the quality of the storyline that fans have had to wait for the match.

"I know that a lot of people wanted to see this match, a lot of people wanted to see the pay off of Takeover: Chicago when he put me through a table and threw me to the tron and stuff like that. I feel like it's such an instant satisfaction culture...To make people actually wait for something, make them want something...I think that speaks volumes," said Gargano.

The two wrestlers meet in an unsanctioned match and Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the entire NXT Takeover card.

The full interview can be seen at the Between the Ropes YouTube channel or the video above.
