Johnny Gargano Says Match With Tommaso Ciampa Will Be "Crazy"

Johnny Gargano still questions Tommaso Ciampa's motivations.

Last May at NXT Takeover: Chicago, the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa lost in a main event NXT Tag Team Championship ladder match to Authors of Pain. After the match, Ciampa attacked Gargano but then disappeared from NXT with an injury. At NXT Takeover: Philadelphia, Ciampa reappeared to attack Gargano after his NXT Championship loss and would cost him his next match which caused Gargano to lose his place in NXT.

Now the two wrestlers will meet in a unsanctioned match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans where Gargano has the chance to win his NXT contract back. In an interview with NOLA.com, Gargano spoke about the upcoming match.

"In an unsanctioned match, anything goes. I can do anything I want, and it's going to get crazy," said Gargano.

Also in the interview, Gargano called Ciampa a "snake" and said he still does not understand why he has been attacked twice.

"I still don't understand why. It's something that has haunted me for 10 months. It's something that I've thought about time and time again. I don't think I'll ever understand why. We were just coming off our first main event. We didn't win, but I thought things were going pretty well. Obviously, I was wrong," said Gargano.

NXT Takeover: New Orleans takes place Saturday April 7th and includes this match, Championship matches, and more. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the event.
