Manziel had a sensational collegiate career at Texas A&M, and he won the Heisman Trophy. He was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Controversies and injuries derailed his NFL career. He was investigated for a domestic violence incident, and he was released in March 2016. His case was later dismissed.
The timing of Gargano's post sparked some buzz, as WWE United States Champion Logan Paul has said that "Mr. Cleveland" will have a "surprise homecoming" for him at WWE SummerSlam, which will be held at Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3rd. The August 2nd edition of WWE SmackDown will also emanate from Cleveland.
Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu on the August 2nd episode of WWE SmackDown.
