Jon Moxley is officially back on the Independent scene.
Following his debut in All Elite Wrestling at Saturday's Double or Nothing event, Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE) will head to Northeast Wrestling for an Aug. 16 showdown against Pentagon Jr at NEW Prison Break in Poughkeepsie, NY. The match was announced earlier today.
Of note, Moxley's wife, WWE Raw announcer Renee Young will also be at the event for a meet-and-greet session. Young has made appearances for NEW in the past despite being under WWE contract.

After showing up at Double or Nothing, AEW announced that Moxley had signed a full-time contract with the promotion. However, AEW President Tony Khan told the media that Moxley would be working international and Indy dates during the summer until AEW begins airing weekly programming on TNT this fall.
Moxley is set to make his AEW in-ring debut at Fyter Fest on June 29. No opponent has been announced.
