SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 featured a Road to WrestleMania mode where players took a select Superstar and played through their storyline on the way to WrestleMania. Playable storylines involve Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Christian, and Chris Jericho, and a storyline where players could choose a select Superstar, including a created star, to try and end The Undertaker's streak.
John Morrison was one of the superstars fans could use to try and end the Undertaker's streak, but Justin Leeper revealed that he pitched a storyline involving The Miz and John Morrison.
Leeper was the writer, designer, and cutscene director of Road to WrestleMania mode for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Did you know I actually wrote a script starring @mikethemiz for SVR 2011’s Road to WrestleMania mode? He & @TheRealMorrison feuded to see who the Jannetty of the team was - with Marty showing up to defend his honor!

Here’s the outline:https://t.co/CrcM3qhGZv
The storyline featured Miz and Morrison in a feud to see who the Marty Jannetty of the team was. Jannetty would show up at the end of the storyline.
According to Leeper, WWE didn't feel the player would enjoy being Miz in the pitched idea, so they didn't use it.
The 12 week storyline culminated with a Miz vs. Morrison, title vs. title 20-minute Iron Man match at WrestleMania.
