Karl Anderson Jokes That Luke Gallows Will Probably Never Have Blowoff Match With CM Punk

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows joke about a potential match with CM Punk.

From 2009 to 2010, CM Punk led the Straight Edge Society faction in WWE with Luke Gallows, Joey Mercury, and Serena. After the group fell apart, Punk defeated Gallows in a singles match on the September 24, 2010 edition of WWE SmackDown.

To this day, Punk and Gallows have yet to share a ring with each other again. On the latest edition of the Talk N' Shop podcast, a fan asked Gallows when he is going to have his fifteen year blowoff match with CM Punk. In response, Karl Anderson joked that it will probably never happen.

“When is Luke going to have a 15 year blowoff match with CM Punk? I’ll answer that one. Probably never. [laughs]”

Then, Gallows joked that the match should be pushed for another five years.

“You know what, we can push it to 20? Let’s push it to 20. Let’s have a 20 year anniversary blowoff match between the sin-free soldier and the king of straight edge, CM Punk. That’d be beautiful.”
