AJ Styles finally has some backup against The Judgment Day, and it comes in the form of two of his long time friends, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
The OC duo returned to WWE on the October 10 edition of WWE Raw when they saved AJ Styles from joining The Judgment Day.
This is both Anderson and Gallows' first appearance in the promotion since they were released back in March 2020.

After leaving WWE over two years ago, Gallows and Anderson initially went to IMPACT Wrestling. During that run, the 'good brother' duo held the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Championships on three separate occasions. In 2021, the duo spent some time in All Elite Wrestling alongside Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. Furthermore, Gallows and Anderson also had a stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling, as they wrestled for the company as recent as October 2. Currently, Anderson is still the holder of the NEVER Openweight Championship.
PWInsider reported on Monday that Gallows and Anderson were believed to be WWE bound. After the report came out, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp revealed that he had reached out to Gallows to ask if the duo was returning to WWE:
I asked Gallows flat out if they were going back to WWE three weeks ago.

His answer was: "WELL."
