Karl Anderson Says Ace Austin Joining Bullet Club Was A Scott D'Amore Call

At NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 29 Finals, Bullet Club got stronger with Ace Austin joining the group.

Austin is the reigning IMPACT X-Division Champion and followed in the footsteps of Chris Bey, who also joined Bullet Club as a member of the IMPACT roster.

Speaking on Talk N Shop, Karl Anderson and Rocky Romero discussed the addition of Austin to the group.

"I was asked about it," Anderson said when Rocky asked if he had any say in Austin being added.

Rocky then joked and wondered if there was a vote taken by Bullet Club members to determine who could join the group.

Anderson commented, "It's whatever booker wants to put the son (of a) bitch in. People will say, 'Why did you let this guy in?' Guys, listen, you have to understand. The person that makes the show gets to put the fucking person in the damn Club. Scott D'Amore wanted Ace Austin in there. That's not saying I didn't want him in there, it's a great shot for him. You can hate on the Bullet Club all you want, of course, anything that is done successfully is going to get hated on. You can't deny that it's going to help your career.

Austin will represent Bullet Club alongside El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori against Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi) at NJPW Dominion. On the same show, Anderson will challenge Tama Tonga for the NEVER Openweight Championship.

Fightful will have results and coverage from NJPW Dominion on June 12.
