Kayla Braxton addresses the rumors.
Kayla Braxton has been with WWE since 2016, and she has worked in various roles, including host and interviewer. Braxton announced that she would be signing off from WWE following the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown. With her departure imminent, some fans have connected her to AEW, given her lengthy run in WWE.
On June 24, Braxton took to Twitter/X to thank everyone for their support and state that it was overwhelming. Braxton wrote that she wanted to make one thing clear, as she emphasized that if she wanted to keep working in wrestling, she would not be walking away from the largest wrestling company in the world.
The support from u guys has been overwhelming. I am so thankful for u.But I did wanna make 1 thing clear as I enter my final week in WWE: if I wanted to keep working in wrestling, I wouldn’t be walking away from the largest wrestling company in the world. AEW's RJ City responded by writing, "Thank god." Braxton replied by saying that she wouldn't leave to go be within 10 feet of "this creep", and she tagged City.
What I meant to say, was I wouldn’t leave to go be within 10 feet of this creep @RJCity1.
