Kazuchika Okada Vacates NEVER Six-Man Tag Title

Kazuchika Okada vacates his third of the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles.

Kazuchika Okada teamed with Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tomohiro Ishii at the January 24 NJPW Road to New Beginning event, successfully defending their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championships against TMDK (Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls & Kosei Fujita).

After the bout, a tearful Okada shook hands with everyone, including members of TMDK, thanked the Korakuen crowd, and announced that he would be vacating his NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Title.

Okada is set to depart NJPW when his contract expires at the end of January.

He will have a handful of matches in February, including one final bout against Hiroshi Tanahashi on February 11.
