Keiji Muto says WWE and NOAH could potentially work together down the road.
As reported by Tokyo Sports, WWE Raw will air on ABEMA in Japan starting on October 3, and WWE SmackDown will air at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. As part of the deal, WWE Premium Live Events will also air on ABEMA, and Keiji Muto (Great Muta) will be an ambassador for a special broadcast that will air on September 29. Muto sat at ringside at WWE Payback, where Shinsuke Nakamura challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Speaking with BBM Sports Japan, Keiji Muto commented on the deal and shared his belief that something with WWE and NOAH could come out of it, given the fact that both companies are now on ABEMA.
"NOAH is also ABEMA, right? It is a member of the Cyber Agent Group. Now WWE is also ABEMA, so there is a possibility that something will be born between WWE and NOAH. Okay, next time, I'll build that bridge. I'll buy Triple H some sushi, and I'll bring the receipt to ABEMA. Wrestling is all about connecting the dots to the lines," Muto said.
As of this writing, there is no word on whether WWE and NOAH will work together.
