Keith Lee, Satoshi Kojima, Athena, & Billie Starkz opened AEW WrestleDream with a victory over Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Diamante, & Mercedes Martinez.
The finish saw Athena hit the O Face on Moriarty. Lee followed up with the Big Bang Catastrophe and Kojima finished him off with a lariat.

Athena is the reigning ROH Women's Champion and has taken Starkz under her wing. Moriarty is aligned with Taylor in Shane Taylor Promotions, who has a long history with Lee. Kojima is signed to NJPW.
