Kenny Omega On AEW Signing Adam Cole And Bryan Danielson: It's Like A High Scool Reunion

AEW has been making big moves in 2021, signing CM Punk, Adam Cole, and Bryan Danielson.

All three men were top stars on the Independent scene before becoming top stars in WWE and eventually making their way to AEW.

Kenny Omega may have skipped going to WWE, but he followed a similar Independent path to all three men and had run-ins with them throughout his career.

Speaking to Adam's Apple, Omega discussed AEW signing the three men.

"For a lot of fans, they're known as WWE guys, perhaps, but for me, they are my friends that I've seen and grew up with and done Indies with and toured with so it's like a high school reunion of sorts. It's great to work with these guys after four, five, ten years. It's great to be back with old friends and making new magic because we've all changed and all grown and all evolved," he said.

Cole immediately reunited with Omega and The Elite upon joining the company at AEW All Out. Danielson took the opposite approach, challenging Omega to find out who the best in the world is.

Omega and Danielson are set to clash at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday. Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
