Kenny Omega comments on his match against El Hijo del Vikingo.
On the March 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, Omega faced AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo in a buzzworthy dream match. The bout was initially set to happen in 2021, when Omega was the reigning AAA Mega Champion, but he was forced to relinquish the title due to injuries. He then missed several months as he focused on his recovery. Vikingo finally made his way to AEW, and he took on Omega in a singles match. The two stars delivered a remarkable main event, and while Omega ultimately emerged victorious, Vikingo generated plenty of buzz with his high-flying offense.
In a tweet after the match, Omega introduced fans Vikingo and thanked AAA for the opportunity to face him. He also sent some prayers to the Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), who were attacked before Dynamite went on the air.
Wrestling fans,

Meet, Vikingo.
Prayers to the Bucks.
Thank you for the opportunity @luchalibreaaa and for the beauty of Lucha Libre.
The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) attacked Omega after the match against Vikingo. Hangman Page made the save, but Don Callis pretended that Page hit him in order to ruin any chance of a reunion between the former tag team partners.
