Kenny Omega talks a possible rematch with Bryan Danielson.
At AEW Grand Slam 2021, just weeks after Bryan Danielson made his AEW debut at All Out, he would go one on one with the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in singles competition in one of the most highly awaited matches in the history of AEW. While the title was not on the line, the two men still wrestled to a time limit draw after 30 minutes, with fans begging for more from the pair.
While speaking on a Twitch stream earlier this week, Omega reflected on the bout and what a rematch between the two would entail.
"Even though my first match with Danielson, I’m really proud of that match, and that was a real fun one. I feel like now that we’ve seen our fair share of stuff and we’ve both been through the ringer a little bit, a second match with us in AEW will probably be visually a lot different and that stakes would be a lot different. I think it would be exciting to do another match with Danielson. That could be something that, at least for me, something would transcend another day at the office."
Danielson is currently scheduled to take on a familiar foe of Omega's at AEW Dynasty, when he goes one on one with Will Ospreay.
Omega is currently out of action recovering from diverticulitis, with no timetable set for his return to AEW. For Kenny's most recent comments on his recovery, you can find them here.
