Dust off your brooms, The Cleaner is back.
On the August 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega made his long awaited return from injury. Omega popped up as the Young Bucks's mystery partner in their AEW World Trios Championship Tournament First Round matchup against Andrade El Idolo, RUSH, and Dragon Lee. Omega's return was teased on this past Monday's episode of Being The Elite.

Omega and the Bucks proceeded to win the bout,; after a hard-fought battle, The Cleaner pinned Dragon Lee with the One-Winged Angel. As a result, The Elite will face the winner of Death Triangle vs. United Empire, which will be held on the August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite.
This mark's Omega's first appearance on AEW programming since the November 17, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite. On that episode, Omega revealed he would be stepping away for a while, which prompted Adam Cole to become the unofficial leader of The Elite for the time being. While Omega was away, he dealt with various injuries including a knee issue and a hernia.
Before taking the injury break, Omega had a 346-day reign with the AEW World Championship, a title which he lost to Hangman Adam Page at the 2021 Full Gear pay-per-view.
Tony Khan reacted to the news of Omega's comeback:
