Kenny Omega Says He Has Wild Stories About 2019, Claims The Truth Is 'Way Worse' Than Reports

Kenny Omega says he's had a wild 2019.

In a new tweet, Omega opens up saying that one day he intends to share the truth behind this wild year for him but now is apparently not the right time.

For Kenny Omega, the year began in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Omega kid off 2019 as the incumbent IWGP Heavyweight Champion. He would quickly lose the title to Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4.

In February, Kenny would be revealed as the fourth Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling alongside Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson.

Kenny has gone back to Japan up a handful of times since leaving New Japan-Pro Wrestling. He’s wrestled for the DDT promotion. DDT is the home promotion of AEW star Michael Nakazawa and they have a working relationship with AEW.

In the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported on issues Kenny Omega has faced trying to get into the country recently with there, reportedly, even being an attempt to get him banned from the country for ten years. Omega says that the truth is even worse than what’s been reported.

"One day I’m gonna have a lot of wild stories to tell about my 2019 that a lot of people won’t want to believe. But the truth is actually way worse than what’s been rumored and/or reported. Until then, one day until #AEWFullGear," he said in a new tweet.

For now, Kenny Omega's focus is on Jon Moxley. The two men will fight at Full Gear on pay-per-view November 9.
