Kenny Omega would love to face Buddy Murphy....but only at full strength.
Responding to a fan on Twitter who compared Murphy to Omega, the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion stated that he would love to battle the current WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
Omega is referring to his time as a Super Junior in NJPW. Omega held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title on two separate occasions in 2015. Murphy was going nowhere in NXT before deciding to cut to 205 in order to be part of the 205 Live brand.
Seeing the tweet in his mentions, Murphy offered a reply to Omega.
Omega and Murphy are in two different companies at the moment. Omega is set to defend his IWGP Heavyweight Title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January. Meanwhile, Murphy will battle Mustafa Ali at Survivor Series next Sunday.
