KENTA Says 'KENTA vs. CM Punk Is Never Going To Happen'

The bag isn't big enough.

Following AEW Collision and the return of CM Punk to AEW, KENTA took to social media and said that him vs. Punk is never going to happen.

KENTA has been tweeting regularly about wanting THE BAG for a potential match with CM Punk. The two have a long-standing history as KENTA originally used the GTS.

No bags were referenced in his tweet, but CM Punk was carrying a bag on AEW Collision where he alluded to the AEW Title being in the bag. Punk never lost the AEW World Title in the ring. He won the belt at AEW All Out 2022 from Jon Moxley, but had to relinquish it due to a triceps injury and being suspended for his role in a backstage altercation with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson).

Fightul Select recently reported that KENTA vs. CM Punk was the planned direction for AEW Forbidden Door. Shortly following that, Fightful Select was told that Punk "wasn't thrilled with working with KENTA and he may come across badly in an interview," referencing the CM Punk interview with ESPN. There was no mention of KENTA in the article.
