The NEVER Openweight Title changes hands once again.
KENTA is the latest man to hold the NEVER Openweight Title after defeating Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW Royal Quest. The match was a hard-hitting affair, and it looked as if KENTA got rocked early in the bout, leading to things falling apart a bit down the stretch. At one point, KENTA nearly forgot to kick out and the referee had to hold his count. The bout also saw interference from the Guerrillas of Destiny. In the end, KENTA hit the Go To Sleep to score the victory and the title.
