Kevin Nash recalls being the first person ever eliminated from a Elimination Chamber match.
When the Elimination Chamber match was introduced back in November 2002, there was quite a bit of excitement from fans surrounding the brand new match type. Although the concept of the match was fairly simple when first introduced, there were supposedly a few performers that didn't quite get it.
On the latest edition of the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash jokingly noted that he thought you won a Elimination Chamber match by being eliminated from the match.
“I hate to fucking toot my horn, I really do. But I’ve had a good career, and I don’t know this for a fact, but I was in the first Elimination Chamber in Phoenix, and I’m quite sure I was the first person elimination. So I’m gonna go on the record as the first person ever eliminated in an Elimination Chamber match. So to me, when you look back at? It’s an Elimination Chamber. Well, it was the first one. I fucking thought you should get eliminated because it’s an Elimination Chamber. I thought I won the thing. I find out no, you gotta stay in it. Well, why would you call it an Elimination Chamber if you gotta stay in it? I got out of it."
After competing in the first ever Elimination Chamber match, Nash went on to never compete in another edition of the match.
Elsewhere in the podcast, Nash discussed Bobby Lashley. To learn more, click here.
