Kevin Nash recalls giving advice to Jey Uso.
After his big win at WWE Royal Rumble, Jey Uso is seemingly on a path to winning a world championship sometime in the near future. Many fans have argued that Uso deserves this honor, mainly due to the fact that he's been a top singles star for nearly two years at this point.
Kevin Nash was a top singles star for a majority of his time in the business, prompting him to give Jey Uso some advice back in 2024.
“He and I flew in together into Cleveland for SummerSlam and some marks were in baggage claim and they wanted him to sign. He was just — he wasn’t feeling it and a couple came over to me and I said nah, I don’t sign at baggage claim, it’s just not my deal. He walked over and said, ‘Yo bro, like how do you do that?’ I said, ‘If you say catch me here or catch me there, but don’t, not baggage claim.’ Especially people that got like 17 photos. They know you’re coming to baggage claim, they don’t have to go through security and they’re going to turn around and those things will be on eBay tomorrow. They’re like, ‘You can write my name on it’, yeah, I have a thing at my house that takes the fucking sharpie right off the 8x10. I know the game.” Nash said on the latest edition of Kliq This.
Nash continued on with his story and recalled avoiding some fans outside of the talent hotel.
“We got in the rental car band together. He picked up a Jeep and I picked up a Genesis. We basically followed each other to the Marriott and checked in and there were people in front of there and he just, at that point we just kind of made eye contact and it was just like, throw them your keys, grab your shit, powder. Don’t wait for some guy to grab your bags, just come on, let’s get inside. I could see there was security inside the Marriott that if you didn’t have a key you weren’t coming in.”
