Kevin Nash comments on WWE Raw XXX.
WWE celebrated its 30th anniversary of WWE Raw on January 23 with WWE Raw XXX. The show saw legends such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker, and more make appearances during the show.
One name who was absent from the show was Kevin Nash (Diesel), who was part of the first year of WWE Raw.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash revealed he was invited to WWE Raw XXX and explained why he didn't appear.
"I was generously...Mr. Prichard [Bruce Prichard] reached out and asked if I would like to come. I just said...it's a really long day to go to TV when you're doing something, actually on the active roster or have a match or segment, it's like building the pyramids if you're playing a hand of cards," he said.
When asked where he could have fit in during the show, Nash said, "I can't be out there with DX because I'm too much of a dick. They all said they were too old, I would have headbutted that motherfucker in the forehead. No, I'm not backing down, so send me home, I'm not doing that. I'm glad I didn't go because I didn't see where the fuck I could have been used."
Triple H, Michaels, Road Dogg, Sean Waltman, and Kurt Angle were involved in a segment with Imperium (Gunther, Giovanni Vinci, & Ludwig Kaiser) with the members of D-X backing down from Gunther.
Nash later said that had he been there, he would have referenced that Philadelphia is where he blew out his quad. He continued, "On top of that, I don't know anybody on the crew anymore or any of the workers or anything else. I really don't want people who I don't know coming up to me and saying, 'I'm sorry to hear about your son.' Why would I put myself....and I know what the payday is going to be. The payday is going to be..."
Co-host Sean Oliver finished the sentence by saying, 'Not worth the aggravation" and Nash agreed.
Nash tragically lost his son in October 2022.
He said if Vince McMahon had been there and been backstage, he may have been swayed to show up to say hi, but that he would prefer to just fly in and hang out with his friends than do anything on television.
