Kevin Nash says he is unable to attend Sting's final match.
Sting's legendary career will come to an end at AEW Revolution, as he will wrestle his last match. There, he and Darby Allin will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. Given the special occasion, it's fair to expect that some legends from Sting's past will be in attendance, but Kevin Nash says he will not be there.
Speaking on Kliq This, Sting's retirement match came up in the conversation. Nash noted that Sting was one of his closest friends in the business. When asked whether he would send Sting a text or something after his final match, Nash revealed that Sting asked him to be there, but he was unable to attend due to his positioning with WWE.
“He asked me to be a part of it. I just said that because of my positioning with the company, with WWE, I couldn’t. I couldn’t even be there. If I went in the crowd, it would be…He said he wanted me to be there because I was just one of the guys that’s been with him the whole run. He was disappointed. I was disappointed. I knew, I asked. You know when you ask and there’s that three or four-second pause, and it’s just like, 'Okay…,'" Nash said.
In October 2023, Kevin Nash said that he did not sign anything with WWE.
Kevin Nash previously said that he does not expect a call from WWE. Check out his comments here.
