Kevin Nash talks Vince McMahon's dislike of tag team matches and throws a quick jab at The Ultimate Warrior's promo abilities on his latest podcast.
Vince McMahon not being fond of tag team matches is nothing particularly new for those that have been following professional wrestling for long enough. However, wrestlers who have worked for Vince McMahon will occasionally speak out about his particular likes and dislikes as it pertains to pro wrestling.
On the latest Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash reveals that Vince McMahon genuinely disdains tag team matches, comparing them to garnish around the headlining program's main entree.
"Vince hates tags. He always hated tag matches," Kevin said. He used to call them 'garnish' and shit. I'm like, 'Man, you can do so much fucking good shit in a tag match.'"
When Sean Oliver quipped that Vince McMahon hates tag team matches so much that he built an entire Pay-Per-View event around them in the Survivor Series, Kevin Nash took the opportunity to say just how much he disliked The Ultimate Warrior cutting promos on behalf of his entire Survivor Series team.
"I would have hung myself before I would have been on the Warrior's team, where he got to cut the promo for you. No matter what, 'Yeah, we're going to get you guys together' — [Kevin imitates The Ultimate Warrior by rambling gibberish] I just would have said, 'Fuck this.'"
Kevin Nash is a two-time WWE tag team champion and spent most of his time in WCW as part of a tag team with Scott Hall and later won the Tag Team Championship in WCW with Diamond Dallas Page.
The same feelings that Kevin Nash claims Vince McMahon has for tag team matches, he has towards his final match in WWE which was a Ladder Match with Triple H at WWE TLC 2011. Fans can read his comments on that match here.
