Kevin Owens Asked Rob Van Dam To Be His Partner On WWE SmackDown, But RVD Was On 'Another Planet'

Kevin Owens wanted RVD and Ricky, Valiant Defender.

Kevin Owens's first choice for a tag team partner on the September 13 episode of WWE SmackDown on USA was not Ricky from Seattle but Randy Orton. However, when Randy Orton was having travel issues, his next choice was still not Ricky from Seattle but some of the WWE Legends in attendance. Still, for one reason or another, they chose not to team with the "Prize Fighter."

In a digital exclusive, Kevin Owens explained to Randy Orton that he only chose to team with Ricky from Seattle because he asked Booker T to be his partner. Booker T is still upset that KO said a lot of mean things about Texas to get under the skin of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Owens then explained that he had asked Rob Van Dam, but Rob Van Dam had said he was already on "another planet." Owens didn't know what that meant, but Randy Orton did. In fact, Randy Orton said that the other planet Van Dam was on was located on his bus and is called "Planet Randy."

Randy Orton then invited Kevin Owens and Ricky from Seattle, the only man tough enough to agree to team with Kevin Owens against Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, onto his tour bus where Rob Van Dam was presumably still on Planet Randy.
