Coming off a loss to Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, Owens was confronted by Ezekiel, who is the younger brother of Elias.
Owens is convinced that Ezekiel is Elias despite no actual evidence and everyone else saying otherwise.
Despite coming to dead ends in his investigation, Owens is determined to get the answers he seeks.
"I don't even know what's next myself. I'll figure it out, but I know that I have to get to the bottom of it. I've invested too much time and energy into it now. I have to figure it out," Owens told Tim Donnelly on the Tim Donnelly Show.
The results of Ezekiel's DNA test are set to be revealed on the May 16 episode of WWE Raw.
Speaking about his WrestleMania 38 bout with Steve Austin, Owens said he wasn't sure what to expect once they got in the ring.
"It was very interesting for me as well because I really didn't know what to expect. That's the funny part. I knew he and I were going to be in the same ring, I knew we were going to talk some trash, obviously, and I had a pretty good feeling it was going to breakdown into a fight at some point, but I had no idea the scope of the fight. I didn't know. For it to all turn out the way it did, I really can't think of a better scenario. Everybody loved it so much, everybody watching it. More importantly, I speak for myself, but I think I can speak for him as well, the two people in the ring doing it had as much fun as everybody watching. That's really the best outcome possible," said Owens.
