Kevin Owens On Missing WWE Raw: I Didn't Want To Go To Texas, So I Didn't Go

Kevin Owens has explained his absence from WWE Raw.

Owens was advertised to face Elias, Ezekiel, or Elrod in a Money in the Bank qualifying bout on the June 27 episode of WWE Raw, but the match never happened. While Ezekiel was there and participating in a backstage segment with John Cena, Owens was absent.

Taking to social media, Owens stated that he didn't want to travel to Texas, so he simply didn't. Raw was held in Laredo, Texas. Also, leave him alone.

Owens has had a contentious relationship with Texas this year, talking down about the state and eventually baiting Steve Austin into an appearance and match at WrestleMania 38 in Texas.

Owens' plan backfired as he lost to Austin in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday.
