Kevin Owens Says He'd Love To Share The Ring With Finn Balor At WrestleMania 35

K.O. vs. Balor one more time?

This past Monday on RAW former two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens answered the current I.C. Champion's Seth Rollins' open challenge. In what was a hard-fought bout, Kevin Owens was not able to best "The Architect" and ended up falling short yet again in what has been a cold summer for K.O. Following the match when RAW returned from commercial break, a defeated Kevin Owens was still in the ring and he picked up the microphone he stated that he "quit", left the ring and went dark on social media.

Prior to K.O. "stepping away" from WWE he was interviewed by a number of wrestling news outlets ahead of SummerSlam including CBS Local Sports. During the interview the topic of WrestleMania 35 opponents came up and Kevin Owens stated that he would love to wrestle a man who he has battled with for the NXT Championship and has also had a fair share of matches against on RAW, Finn Balor.

“There’s so many guys I wish I could wrestle, but if it was up to me, whatever I would do would lead to me and Finn Bálor at WrestleMania next year, because he and I came to WWE the exact same time,” Owens said. “We didn’t know each other before we got there [NXT]. We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania.” He continued, "I love wrestling him and as far as I know he feels the same way,” Owens elaborated. “I think we put on really entertaining matches that are very good. We had a match in Japan a few years ago that I still think was one of my best ones in WWE. So, I think we mesh pretty well.”
