Kevin Owens Says He's Still Feeling The Effects From An Electrical Burn Suffered At The Royal Rumble

Kevin Owens is still feeling the effects of his Last Man Standing Match with Roman Reigns.

At the Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens was unsuccessful in his attempt to dethrone The Head of the Table. During the match, both men took an immense amount of punishment, with Owens, in particular, getting thrown off the ThunderDome stage, flying through the windshield of a golf cart, and diving off a forklift and through a table.

Speaking with Ryan Satin of FOX Sports, Owens admitted that his body has recovered from almost all of it. The lone exception, a burn on his left arm that came when he made contact with some electrical equipment as he and The Tribal Chief brawled near the entranceway.

"Yeah, I feel great. I don’t know. This stuff, I feel it for a few days and then guess my body – obviously, my body recovers – but, I think my body’s just so used to that kind of punishment throughout the years that, honestly, the worst thing from all of it was people noticed that I got burned.

You can see it’s like my arm was on a grill. So, yeah, that sucked. That really sucked a lot. So, that wasn’t great. None of it was great. But, that’s the one thing I’m still feeling."

Despite his loss, Owens hasn't ended his pursuit of SmackDown's top prize. On the February 12 edition of the weekly show, it was announced that he would be taking part in the blue brand's Elimination Chamber match with the opportunity to become the Number One Contender, yet again.

Should Owens prove successful against Cesaro, Jey Uso, Daniel Bryan, King Corbin, and Sami Zayn, he will face Roman Reigns that same night.

Fightful will have live coverage of Elimination Chamber next Sunday, February 21.
