Kofi Kingston has provided an update on his jaw injury.
On Monday's WWE Raw, Kofi was noticeably absent from the side of Xavier Woods, who competed against T-BAR of RETRIBUTION. It was explained on commentary that Kingston was out of action with a jaw injury.
Prior to WWE Raw, Kingston was on Instagram Live and mentioned the injury.
"I gotta apologize, I feel like I'm talking out of the side of my mouth and I'm dealing with like a jaw injury right now and my mouth is only closing on one side. If I sound kind of funny, that's why. Ordinarily, I do a lot of imitations and impersonations and impressions, but I'm not doing that right now. I'm talking funny just trying to figure this situation out," he said.
Commentary noted that Kingston suffered the injury during New Day's feud with The Hurt Business.
Following WWE TLC, Kofi posted a photo on social media that showed pieces of his teeth that he lost during New Day's match against Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.
Hats off to @Sheltyb803 and @CedricAlexander tonight. I’m still spiting out pieces of my teeth. You’ve officially earned my respect. Good battle! --
