WWE Title match set for Super ShowDown.
On the latest episode of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler made his return to WWE, brutally attacking WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Ziggler laid waste to Kofi, going as far as wrapping a chair around Kofi's head and stomping down on it. Kofi was stretched up the ramp as a result of the attack but managed to get off the stretcher and walk out on his own power.
Later in the night, Ziggler came back out to ringside and gave a reason for his actions. Ziggler explained that everything Kofi had earned over the last few months, should have been given to him. In the end, Ziggler stated that he had no choice but to challenge Kingston for the WWE Title at Super ShowDown.
Fightful Select has confirmed that the bout will be made official shortly with a primary factor being Kevin Owens telling WWE that he didn't want to go to Saudi Arabia for the June 7 event. Fightful will have more details on the situation shortly.
