B Block playoff match is set.
Konosuke Takeshita will meet Yota Tsuji in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 34 B Block playoff match. The winner will move on to face David Finlay, who finished first in round robin competition, in the semifinals.
Takeshita and Tsuji each finished with 10 points. Takeshita picked up a victory over Ren Narita (10 points) on the final night of block competition to hold the tiebreaker over him. In the main event of night sixteen, Tsuji defeated Jeff Cobb (10 points) to secure the tiebreaker.
Finlay topped B Block with 12 points.
Takeshita defeated Tsuji on night one of the G1 Climax 34 tournament during the round robin portion.
The playoff match between Takeshita and Tsuji will take place on August 15. Finlay will face the winner on Saturday, August 17th in the semifinals.
In the A Block, Shingo Takagi will battle Great-O-Khan with the winner meeting Zack Sabre Jr. in the semifinals.
