Kota Ibushi remains IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champions.
Ibushi managed to outlast Jay White in the main event of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15, finishing off "Switchblade" with Kamigoye in the longest match in Tokyo Dome history. In the bout, commentary noted that Ibushi was the first man to kick out of Bladerunner, which is White's signature move.
The bout went 48 minutes and 5 seconds, surpassing Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega from Wrestle Kingdom 11 (46:45).
Over the course of two nights, Ibushi wrestled 79 minutes and 23 seconds. On night one of Wrestle Kingdom 15, Ibushi defeated Tetsuya Naito to win both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.

After the match, SANADA, who defeated EVIL earlier in the night, confronted Ibushi and issued a challenge for Ibushi's titles. Ibushi defeated SANADA in the finals for the G1 Climax 2020.
