Kurt Angle Believes He Will Wrestle For WWE Again

New WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle isn't ready to hang up his wrestling boots just yet.

In a brief interview with ESPN, Angle said that being back in WWE would mean that he would take up an ambassador role of sorts, but believes that he will be back wrestling in WWE.

The former WWE champion did say that he would need to earn back the company's trust on account of his previous substance abuse issues, but said he has been clean for the past four years.

"I know I'm going to take more or less of an ambassador role," Angle said. "I do know that there's a chance of Kurt Angle wrestling again. I know that I’m going to have to earn their trust and I understand that, especially with the trouble I’ve been in the past few years. I really think that Kurt Angle is not done wrestling. I think it's safe to say that I will be wrestling back in that WWE ring again."

Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame two days before WrestleMania 33 and was showered with chants of "one more match!" Angle had stayed busy since leaving Impact Wrestling in 2016, wrestling in various independent promotions such as WhatCulture Pro Wrestling, Insane Championship Wrestling and Revolution Pro Wrestling.

His last match in the indies was against Cody Rhodes in a steel cage match at Northeast Wrestling on March 3.
