At WrestleMania, WWE experimented with cinematic matches similar to that of The Final Deletion. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle thinks that these matches will be part of the WWE fabric moving forward.
Speaking on a Facebook Q&A session, the Olympic gold medalist was asked to share his thoughts on the Boneyard Match as well as the Firefly Fun House Match. Kurt admitted that while those matches do not particularly play well to a live audience, which WWE will eventually return to, he expects that moving forward, WWE will experiment more with these match styles because of the tremendous feedback they received.
“The business is changing and I expect to see more of these. However, they won’t be live in front of an audience,” Kurt began. “That’s the whole reason WWE travels the world…so they can perform live in front of crowds. But I expect that WWE will continue with some of these types of matches. They got great reviews.”
Kurt Angle also spoke about his favorite WrestleMania 36 match. You can view the whole Q&A session by clicking here.
The Undertaker also recently gave his feedback on the John Cena and Bray Wyatt match from WrestleMania 36. Check out his comments about that at this link.
