Kurt Angle with high praise for Chad Gable.
Before WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle officially retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35 following his match with Baron Corbin, in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Angle had a series of matches with the likes of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Chad Gable and Apollo Crews as a part of his "farewell tour". During a recent Q&A on his Facebook page, Angle shared high praise for the former NXT, RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Chad Gable and wrote the following in response to a question about Gable:
"I love Chad. If there’s anybody in WWE that deserves a good run, it's Chad. He impressed me. Great kid." Angle noted.
A new edition of 'WWE Untold' was uploaded to the WWE Network which spotlighted Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon's match from the 2001 King Of The Ring pay-per-view. Angle shared that it took his tailbone longer to recover more than the other parts of his body that were in pain coming out of that match.
"I would say two weeks." Angle recalled. "My tailbone took a lot longer to heal but the rest of me was ok in two weeks. It was the most brutal match I’ve ever been in."
WWE Untold also brought information to the forefront concerning Sting and Triple H's match at WrestleMania 31. Triple H revealed that he was originally set to face The Rock at WrestleMania 32 which he claims factored into the finish of he and Sting's match at WrestleMania 31.
