Kurt Angle Says WWE Wants Him To Be Involved On TV 'For The Next Month Or So'

Kurt Angle will be around for the Road to WrestleMania 38.

Kurt Angle ended his wrestling career at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Following that, he was being utilized in a backstage capacity as a producer. Kurt Angle was released by WWE on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, and has since been focused largely on his podcast, the Kurt Angle Show.

Now, Kurt Angle says he is returning to WWE TV.

On the most recent episode of the Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle revealed that he got a call from WWE to return as an on-screen character “for the next month or so” as WWE ramps up its build to this year's WrestleMania. Fightful can also confirm that Kurt Angle is factored into discussions regarding upcoming WWE programming.

"Yes, I did [get a call] from the WWE and they want me to be involved in the show for the next month or so. I'm really excited about it. So we'll see what's in store for me," said Angle.

Kurt Angle was backstage at this year's Royal Rumble event and took a picture with Shelton Benjamin which Shelton shared on social media.

Kurt Angle, who had his last match against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania in 2019, revealed in the past that he had other offers to return to the ring for promotions outside of WWE, which he declined. Learn more here.
