A new match is set for the pre-show ahead of TNA Emergence.
After failing to qualify for the upcoming Ultimate X Match for the TNA X-Division Title on August 22's TNA iMPACT!, Frankie Kazarian and KUSHIDA will go one-on-one. Both men were in the same three-way to qualify for the match and came up short as Alex Hammerstone advanced.
After the match, Kazarian continued to attack KUSHIDA. As a result, TNA Wrestling announced this match on August 23.
